Agree the information schedule
Confirm the reporting period, accounting framework and engagement information requests. Align internal responsibility for each schedule and source record.
Reconcile key balances
Prepare bank, receivable, payable, inventory, asset and loan schedules as applicable. Explain differences between supporting records and the financial statements.
Organise governance and disclosures
Provide relevant minutes, contracts, commitments, related-party information and subsequent-event records. Management remains responsible for complete information and financial statements.
Track open matters
Maintain an issue list with owners, evidence and responses. Preparing records does not determine the auditor’s conclusions or opinion.
